Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Bucharest, Romania

Main Responsibilities:

Business Development & Strategy

  • Define and execute the business development strategy for solar and energy storage solutions in Romania

  • Identify and develop new opportunities in utility-scale projects and large infrastructure deals

  • Drive market expansion and strengthen positioning in the renewable energy ecosystem

Partnership & Account Development

  • Build and manage relationships with:

    • EPC contractors

    • Energy developers

    • Utilities and key industry stakeholders

  • Establish long-term strategic partnerships to support business growth

Sales & Project Management

  • Lead complex and long-cycle sales processes, including negotiation and deal closing

  • Identify and secure large-scale PV and BESS projects

  • Manage key accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, engineering, delivery) to ensure efficient solution design and execution

  • Support the development of competitive and tailored technical-commercial proposals

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities

  • Contribute to strategic planning and market positioning initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy or Business or related field

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Business development, Sales within the energy, utilities, or renewable sector

  • Proven experience in project-based sales environments, preferably in Solar PV or Energy storage (BESS)

  • Strong business development and strategic sales skills

  • Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies (PV, BESS)

  • Proven ability to manage complex deals and long sales cycles

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment

  • Fluent in English and Romanian

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Romania and occasionally internationally
