Business Development Manager – Temporary Social Care Staffing
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits (DOE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing healthcare staffing provider with an established presence across the Midlands and wider UK. The organisation specialises in delivering high-quality temporary staffing solutions across the health and social care sector, supporting residential homes, nursing homes, supported living services, and specialist care providers with compliant and reliable staffing. With a strong operational infrastructure, 24/7 service model, and reputation for responsiveness, the business continues to grow its footprint within temporary social care staffing. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual to play a key role in expanding existing client relationships, winning new business, and supporting the continued growth of the Birmingham region.
Key Responsibilities

Drive business growth across the Temporary Social Care Staffing market
Develop and maintain relationships with care homes, supported living providers, and healthcare organisations
Identify and secure new business opportunities across the Midlands region
Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery
Increase market share through proactive sales activity and relationship management
Attend networking events, meetings, and client visits across the region
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Support branch growth and contribute to overall commercial strategy
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention

Requirements

Proven experience in business development within healthcare or social care recruitment/staffing
Strong understanding of the temporary staffing market within health & social care
Existing relationships within the care sector (desirable)
Commercially driven with strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage a regional territory
Strong organisational and relationship-building abilities
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
