Job Description

Are you a driven, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on growing markets and unlocking new opportunities? Hometime is looking for a passionate Business Development Manager to help us accelerate our growth across Australia’s most important short-term rental markets - Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

You’ll play a critical role in driving our market expansion by identifying, qualifying, and securing new clients. Through prospecting, local marketing, relationship-building, and exceptional client engagement, you’ll help more homeowners discover the benefits of Hometime’s professional short-term rental management services.

If you love combining strategic relationships with hands-on sales execution, and you’re motivated by tangible results, this is the opportunity to join one of Australia’s fastest-growing proptech companies.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Market Growth: Build and execute local business development strategies to expand Hometime’s footprint across key metro and coastal markets.
  • Prospect & Secure New Clients: Generate new business through local outreach, events, and referral networks, including real estate professionals, mortgage brokers, and buyer’s agents.
  • Qualify & Convert Leads: Respond to inbound inquiries from prospective clients, qualify their properties, and convert leads into active listings.
  • Pitch & Present: Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to present Hometime’s services, deliver earnings appraisals, and prepare tailored management proposals.
  • Nurture Relationships: Build long-term relationships with homeowners, investors, and referral partners to drive sustained growth.
  • Collaborate with Local Teams: Work closely with our local Hosts and Marketing team to align efforts and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline using Hometime’s CRM (HubSpot), ensuring timely follow-up and accurate forecasting.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market dynamics, and pricing trends to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, real estate, or B2C/B2B sales.
  • Proven ability to generate and close leads through proactive outreach and relationship management.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Organised and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple markets and priorities.
  • Familiarity with the short-term rental, property management, or hospitality industry is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Is working towards or holding the relevant real estate qualifications.
  • Based in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, or Melbourne.
  • Must have a car (car allowance will be offered).
