Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Arabic speaking Business Development Manager, specializing in MEP Retrofit projects to spearhead growth in energy efficiency, HVAC upgrades and building system modernization. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the retrofit market, strong connections in the construction and facilities management sectors, and a track record of closing high-value projects in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the MEP retrofit sector, including
  HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy efficiency upgrades.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including building owners,
  facility managers, consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct site visits and preliminary assessments in coordination with engineering teams
  to understand retrofit needs.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals, ROI models, and technical presentations to
  potential clients.
• Monitor industry trends, government regulations, and incentive programs related to
  building performance and sustainability.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure accurate
  quoting and seamless project handover.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet or exceed revenue and margin targets.
• Maintain records of leads, opportunities, and deals in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services,
  or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in business development or technical sales in the MEP or
  building retrofit industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, electrical upgrades, and
  energy conservation measures (ECMs).
• Familiarity with energy audits, ESCO models, green building standards (LEED,
  BREEAM), and compliance regulations.
• Proven ability to develop new markets and close large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.

Preferred Skills:

• Good Spoken and Written Arabic
• Knowledge of local energy efficiency incentive programs and utility rebates.
• Network of industry contacts including real estate developers, facility managers, and government bodies.
• Experience with lifecycle costing, payback analysis, and sustainability reporting.
