Job Description

Lavipharm is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for pursuing and effectively executing Business Development activities through identifying, qualifying and securing suitable business opportunities. The role will be reporting to the Business Development & Acquisitions Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Builds deep knowledge on the company’s technologies as well as on current and future product portfolio
  • Is able to introduce the company, its technologies, products and expertise to third parties for the purposes of attracting interest and creating the grounds for new business opportunities
  • Supports Business Development activities, with focus on in-licensing
  • Identifies, supports, and coordinates qualification of new sources of products and technologies
  • Gathers market intelligence to understand products under evaluation, runs searches through numerous sources including available data platforms
  • Screens product opportunities according to company strategy to identify, pursue and generate new possible business opportunities
  • Establishes close relationship with, and manages/grows pool of potential vendors to identify and filter opportunities, as per the company’s needs
  • Communicates with other departments to align on relevant requirements
  • Utilizes critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate and compare offerings to maximize company’s profit and growth
  • Prepares commercial proposals/offers to third parties for cooperation/partnership
  • Prepares and presents outcome and proposal/recommendation in a manner that enables company to make the necessary decisions
  • Contributes to the creation, review and execution of the relevant commercial agreements
  • Monitors progress as per pre-determined timelines, and continuously updates database of products/projects under evaluation

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in business, marketing, healthcare or related field of study
  • Master of Science (MSc) Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in Business Development
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • Computer Literacy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and within teams
  • Strong industry network
