Job Description

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Barco Healthcare, you will be a "Visioneer" responsible for expanding our footprint in the South India market, specifically focusing on the Southern region. You will drive the adoption of Barco’s world-class medical imaging solutions—ranging from diagnostic radiology displays and mammography workstations to digital pathology.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between clinical needs and Barco’s cutting-edge technology, ensuring that hospitals and diagnostic centers have the best visual tools to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities within corporate hospital chains, government medical colleges, and private diagnostic centers in southern regions.

  • Strategic Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders, including Radiologists, Surgeons, IT Heads (PACS/RIS), and Hospital CEOs/CFOs.

  • Channel Management Collaborate with and manage a network of local channel partners and distributors to ensure consistent lead generation and project execution.

  • Solution Selling: Conduct high-impact product demonstrations of Barco’s healthcare portfolio (e.g., Coronis, Nio) highlighting ROI, clinical accuracy, and ergonomic benefits.

  • Tender & Project Management: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying government/private tenders to technical bid submission and final negotiation.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and healthcare trends (such as AI integration and remote reading) to provide feedback to the regional leadership team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience 5–8 years of proven track record in Healthcare Sales/Business Development, specifically within Medical Imaging, PACS, or high-end Medical Devices.

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Business Administration. An MBA is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of medical imaging workflows (DICOM standards, Radiology/Surgical visualization, and Hospital Information Systems).

  • Network An established network of contacts among the healthcare fraternity and hospital administration in South India

  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English and other regional language is highly preferred to engage effectively with local stakeholders.

  • Travel Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (up to 50%).

What We Offer

  • Innovation-Led Culture: Work with industry-leading technology, including AI-powered software and the world’s first 12MP diagnostic displays.

  • Autonomy A high-impact role with the freedom to strategize and own the regional territory.

  • Career Growth: Access to global training programs and a clear path toward senior commercial leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a "Hunter" who is technically savvy but commercially driven. You don't just sell a monitor; you sell a clinical workflow solution that helps doctors save lives.
