Job Description

A Business Development Manager works as the tip of the spear producing and driving business for the company. Developers generate new client business through networking and follow up on recommendations. Often, they design and implement strategies for the client utilizing their company’s assets to accommodate both parties best.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new business opportunities through strategic sales tactics, including customer development, networking and relationship building.
• Perform market and competitor research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities.
• Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
• Develop and deliver proposals for existing and new customers.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers.
• Analyze customer data to forecast business trends.
• Manage all activities in company’s CRM system.
• Responsible for collections efforts for all outstanding accounts receivable.
• Advise on the development of new marketing initiatives.
• Present to the leadership team new business successes and losses, potential new markets and initiatives.
• Travel to visit with potential and current customers.
• Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or a related field is required.
• 5 years’ experience in a business development role required.
• 5 years’ experience in the industrial cleaning industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands and fingers are required for periods of 6-8+ hours at a time.

• Occasional bending at the waist, walking, or standing is required.
• Occasional carrying of weights from 26-50 pounds may be required.
• This job operates in an office environment.
