Our own brands, Kids Joy, PLEX, and LeEd, are household names across in Sri Lanka. As a strategic initiative of our client, it is planning to expand its business by bringing down some renowned sports items under its own umbrella as a separate Business Unit (SBU).

About the position:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager - Sports to spearhead our efforts in expanding market presence and maximizing sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive sales growth in the sports items segment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and onboarding new business opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to launch innovative promotional campaigns.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and deliver on revenue targets.
• Manage company Profit & Loss in effective manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Marketing or qualification in CIM/SLIM or any post graduate diploma equal to this.
• Minimum 05 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, out of which minimum 02 years of experience at a managerial level.
• Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A proactive, result-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Passion for sports and knowledge of the industry will be an advantage.
