We are seeking an experienced and talented IBusiness Development Manager to join our Chemical Department based in Tema, Ghana. He/She will be responsible for promoting and selling products used in the production processes of mining companies and the energy sector, in accordance with the sales policy set by management. To provide a high-quality service to these companies, with a view to building customer loyalty
The candidate will be part of our global ERP-Team and mainly work in Mining and Energy, give training, support users, analyze user requests and write designs to be implemented by our team. Occasional travel will be necessary, especially during new rollout projects.
Develop a vision for the Mining & Energy segment, from which a clear strategy for the development of that segment will emerge.
Expand the client portfolio in the Mining & Energy segment to ensure business growth in Ghana
Conduct market research into new products and solutions to be offered, with a view to bringing innovation to market players in Ghana.
Lead and coordinate the development of new products or services in Ghana
Work closely with the Product & Principal Manager to identify key suppliers for the development of new products in the Ghanaian market
Monitor the competitive landscape to implement proactive measures aimed at becoming a leading supplier to mining and energy sector companies in Ghana
Ensure the collection of customer receivables in close collaboration with the collections manager to ensure effective cash flow management
At least 5+ years of experience in the chemical field (Mining and Energy)
Business development Knowledge
Adapting communication to different audiences when presenting sales pitches and product offerings
Negotiating and selling the group’s products and services
Identifying new needs and proposing complementary or alternative solutions
Excellent communication skills in English (Written and Oral)
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
Strong aptitude for sales and customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences
Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders
Able to tackle complex problems effectively and adapt to fast-paced development environments.
A strong leader and have the ability to mentor juniors
Proven track record of sales management and market analysis
Analytical and problem-solving person Exceptional ability to analyse complex requirements, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise effective solutions.
