Job Description

The Business Development Manager will lead and coordinate the Sales Team while driving sustainable business growth across domestic and international markets.

The role combines structured team leadership with active market engagement. The successful candidate will guide commercial execution, represent the company externally, and contribute directly to expanding its footprint across industrial, energy, marine, automation, and EPC-driven sectors.

This is a growth-oriented position requiring strong industrial market understanding, disciplined commercial management, and hands-on field involvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Team Leadership & Commercial Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and support the Sales Team in daily commercial activities.
  • Set clear targets and priorities aligned with strategic growth objectives.
  • Monitor pipeline development and ensure disciplined follow-up and forecasting.
  • Provide practical guidance in customer meetings, negotiations, and deal structuring.
  • Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative commercial culture.

2. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and emerging industrial markets.
  • Strengthen relationships with EPC contractors, system integrators, shipyards, industrial operators, and energy clients.
  • Actively engage in international travel, customer visits, exhibitions, conferences, and strategic industry events.
  • Represent the company externally, enhancing commercial positioning and brand visibility within target sectors.
  • Expand and manage partnerships, distributors, and representative networks in selected regions.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide structured market intelligence and commercial insights to management.

3. Commercial Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support the preparation of technical-commercial proposals in collaboration with Engineering teams.
  • Contribute to structured tenders, bids, and complex project submissions.
  • Act as a bridge between commercial strategy and technical delivery.
  • Ensure structured CRM usage, pipeline transparency, and reliable sales reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Finance to ensure commercial alignment and execution quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or related technical field. MSc or MBA will be considered an asset.
  • 6–8 years of experience in technical B2B sales or business development within industrial environments (energy, marine, heavy industry, automation, EPC-related sectors).
  • Proven exposure to complex industrial solutions and project-based sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience in international markets and structured commercial development.
  • 2–4 years of experience leading or mentoring a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of industrial systems and technical-commercial integration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Availability for frequent international travel.
