As we enter a new phase of growth, we’re excited to welcome a Business Development Intern to learn, develop and grow, and go on this journey with us!

Your role

As a Business Development Intern - Global Markets, you will gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving carbon capture and utilization sector, learning key skills in a fast-paced and mission-driven tech environment. This is an exciting learning opportunity to join our Commercial team that works on Direct Air Capture projects for large scale applications.

This internship is ideal for someone who is curious about how to generate demand. We are looking for someone who is passionate about climate tech, commercial strategy, and building something from first contact.

Important Notes

• Internship duration is 5-6 months, on full-time basis (40 hours /week).
• The start date is as soon as possible.
• This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Please ensure that you meet the legal requirements to undertake an internship in The Netherlands.
• You must be based in The Netherlands, ideally near Amsterdam.
• We offer a monthly internship allowance, lunch allowance, and transportation allowance. However, accommodation is not provided.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be learning and supporting

• Learning how to build and manage target lists of companies, across priority geographies and segments.
• Developing an understanding of how to research each target account.
• Building practical experience in how to run outbound campaigns (i.e. via email and LinkedIn), write the sequences, tailor messaging per segment and market, and follow up.
• Gaining exposure to front-end sales work through intro calls with prospective customers and partners, and additionally, learning how to write up outcomes and next steps.
• Learning how to maintain an up-to-date prospect pipeline in CRM, including activity, contact records and deal stages.
• Understanding how to build a company presence at industry conferences and events.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a university program (preferably in Business, Economics, Sustainability, Energy, Engineering, or a related field).
• A demonstrable passion for climate technology, sustainability, and tackling climate change.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into a clear commercial angle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; you can write outreach that people actually reply to. Additional European or Asian languages are a plus!
• Comfortable joining calls and approaching people at events. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• You are already based in the Netherlands, within commuting distance to Amsterdam.
