The Global Sellers Team mission at Back Market is to enable a stable supply of high quality refurbished products to our 17 markets. The team is fast-growing, we onboard and nurture great sellers to unlock the right products that our customers want.

As a Business Development Intern, your main priorities center on qualifying and completing the onboarding journey with Asian sellers. After activation, you will grow sellers’ business including working with sellers to maximize product selection and acting as a trustworthy bridge between internal stakeholder teams and sellers to deliver the best e-commerce experience for customers on Back Market.

You will be able to contribute to overall business by leading BD enablement projects that unleash the potential of sellers to scale up.

Your Mission (If You Accept It): 🥇

  • Qualify and onboard new sellers to contribute to Back Market’s selection growth

  • Manage newly activated sellers through a hybrid approach of dedicated 1:1 account management and pooled coverage, focusing on Sellers GMV & Quality performance to ensure a profitable and healthy growth for both seller and Back Market

  • Partner with internal functional teams (quality, logistics, finance, legal etc) to support new sellers

  • Constantly explore top sellers on competitors' platforms with global supply origin, including Hong Kong/China/Asia, etc.

  • Support on BD seller communication, including 1) be part of the taskforce to lead on seller recruitment or education webinars; 2) developing Chinese/English content library of BD enablement materials

You’re At The Right Place If: ⭐

  • You are looking for a 6-months internship

  • English and Mandarin are no-brainers (fully professional capability in English and Mandarin). If you’re extra cool and speak more languages, bonus points for you!

  • Excellent in time management with great sense of priority and ownership

  • Detail-oriented and active listener

  • Good organization & communication skills

  • You have an analytical and critical thinking mind - strong use of insights for decision making

  • Abilities to work independently with highly self-motivation. Positive learning attitude is must-have

  • Interested in engaging with small to medium-sized businesses and e-commerce, you ideally have a previous experience in a related field

  • Experience in content creation and live broadcasting is a plus

  • Interested in fast-growing start-ups preferred

  • Salesforce, SQL, and/or Tableau experience is a plus, but readiness to learn a must

About the internship:

  • Starting date: End of August / September 2026

  • Duration: 4-5 months (until December 2026 / January 2027)

  • Location: Paris, France
