The Opportunity

As a Business Development Executive (BDE) in the Commercial area, you’ll play a pivotal role within Allianz Ireland’s Sales & Distribution team, partnering with brokers across the wider Dublin/Leinster region to win and retain business. Working mainly remotely, with occasional office attendance, you’ll take ownership of your portfolio – drive growth and retention, align with Allianz's strategic goals, and enhance broker relationships through proactive management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maximize growth and retention with your broker portfolio by identifying opportunities and supporting brokers to place and renew business with Allianz.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned to Allianz Ireland’s strategy – setting clear targets and tracking progress.
• Build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with key brokers, acting as a trusted partner and the key point of contact
• Deliver optimal outcomes in target segments.
• Conduct performance reviews of broker relationships.
• Analyse broker data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve retention, profitability and customer outcomes.
• Represent and promote the Allianz brand and provide market feedback.
• Drive continuous customer experience improvements.

Key Requirements / Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Insurance (Commercial).
• CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) qualification.
• Proven track record of achieving goals.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of commercial lines of products.
• Full driving licence.

Desirable:

• 3+ years’ experience in Customer Relationship Management.
• Experience in Sales with a proven track record.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
• Relevant third level or postgraduate degree.
• Expertise in Data Analytics and / or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies would be beneficial.
