When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It’s why we’re looking for someone who’s just as committed as we are, to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life.

We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth for Veolia’s Industrial Site Services across a designated geographic territory. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for sourcing, visiting, and managing industrial clients to assess their site needs for both routine and one-off industrial cleaning and site service solutions. You will own your sales pipeline from lead generation through to technical solution delivery, collaborating closely with internal technical and operational colleagues to build competitive, high-quality quotes.

What we can offer you;

  • Access to our company pension scheme
  • Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers
  • Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to
  • 24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household
  • One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential

What you'll be doing;

  • Territory & Pipeline Management: Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your assigned geographic region to maintain a robust, self-generated sales pipeline.
  • On-Site Consultations & Assessments: Conduct regular client visits across industrial facilities to assess complex operational needs, site hazards, and service requirements.
  • Solution Scope & Estimating: Partner with internal technical teams, site operators, and estimation specialists to scope out requirements and construct accurate proposals for specialised one-off projects or ongoing service contracts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build long-term, trusted relationships with plant managers, EH&S leads, and procurement teams across target industrial sectors.
  • Commercial Closing: Deliver compelling sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close opportunities in line with revenue and margin targets.

What we're looking for;

  • Proven B2B Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in field-based B2B sales, ideally within industrial cleaning, environmental services, waste management, facilities management, or heavy industry services.
  • Self-Motivation & Drive: Strong self-starter capable of working autonomously to manage time, plan site visit schedules, and drive pipeline growth across a region.
  • Commercial & Technical Aptitude: Ability to translate complex operational site challenges into practical, commercial service scopes.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal operational teams, health & safety experts, and colleagues to construct winning quotes.
  • Mobility: Full driving license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned geographic territory.

About Veolia UK

Veolia UK provides solutions for ecological transformation which means reconciling human progress with environmental protection. We develop and implement local solutions to depollute our vital resources and regenerate resources to preserve them from depletion along with solutions to decarbonize our ways of living and adapt them to the consequences of climate change.

We are a company of almost 14,000 employees, although we prefer to think of ourselves as “resourcers”. Every day across the country our “resourcers” design and deploy useful and concrete solutions, which help our customers fight against climate change, prevent pollution of waterways, soil and air and create a circular economy where nothing goes to waste.

Every year, we serve around 1.8 million people through our municipal wastewater contracts. We complete over 400 million waste collections across our Local Authority contracts, serving over 3 million residential properties; and we treat over 1.5 million tonnes of commercial and industrial waste from our 85,000 private customers. We also produce over 560 MWe of renewable and low carbon electricity, to power over 1.3 million homes.

We also anticipate the needs of tomorrow with innovative solutions that will decarbonise our energy and heating demands through the development of microgrids and energy management through our Hubgrade solution, which optimises the resources using digital and artificial intelligence.

Veolia UK is an exciting and innovative place to work, but don't just take our word for it - we were named as one of the top 10 'Very Big Organisations' to work for in The Sunday Times' Best Places to Work 2024.

We are driven by optimism and passion, not to see the world as it is, but how it should be; and we are tenacious in our efforts to achieve our goals.

These aren't just empty words.
