Business Unit Overview

The Medium to Small Business unit is the conduit that assists in the delivery of business opportunities and customer engagement. The unit supports our Sales and Customer Connections teams that facilitate opportunities and quotes that convert into sales, and manage sales processes across the entire product portfolio, before being handed to our Delivery team for provisioning and deployment. The Sales team is the driver of all revenue opportunities and customer engagement. They position and promote the competitive edge of our products and services to create customer relationships, build robust sales pipelines and close opportunities to deliver against sales targets and business priorities.

Role Purpose

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding new Partners and MSRs. They play a key role in expanding the partner base, developing strong customer relationships, and ensuring partners are effectively trained on products and processes. The BDE will actively prospect for new business opportunities and provide customized business proposals tailored to customer needs. They will work towards achieving sales and revenue targets, analyse market trends, and maintain accurate sales reporting. This role requires strong negotiation skills, the ability to present value propositions to decision-makers, and a proactive approach to business development in the telco and technology sector. This role provides a good exposure to Australian telco market, partner eco-system, and growth opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage with new prospective partners to expand the partner base, develop partner relationships.

  • Meet and exceed set new partner onboarding targets for mid-market.

  • Analyse market intelligence and formulate strategic plans to achieve new business and personal goals.

  • Provide accurate reports around opportunity forecasts.

  • Develop strong relationships with partners and an understanding of their business and industry challenges.

  • Assist with partner requests and escalations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, including activities, opportunities, forecasts, and partner engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of Outbound Sales experience (Preferably in partner channels).

  • Telco or technology experience is highly regarded.

  • Competent at presenting and negotiating value propositions with C-Level executives.

  • Advanced use of CRM.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to people in a range of positions.

  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.

  • Positive attitude and ability to contribute positively to team dynamic.

  • Available to work for AEST shift (3:00 AM - 12:00 PM IST).
