Business Development Executive – Maritime Chandlery & Marine Supplies
We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Executive to support the growth and expansion of a well-established marine supplies and chandlery operation serving the maritime, offshore, and yachting sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who can combine business development, account management, market analysis, and strategic growth initiatives to expand market presence and drive revenue growth across the Mediterranean region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the maritime, offshore, and yachting sectors.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts while building long-term client relationships.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals, and negotiate contracts to close profitable deals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with shipowners, ship managers, yacht operators, shipyards, and offshore companies.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and negotiate favourable commercial terms.
- Support the expansion and optimisation of the product portfolio.
- Conduct client visits and represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
- Contribute to business growth strategies and expansion initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or a similar commercial role.
- Experience within the maritime, shipping, marine supply, offshore, engineering, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
- Strategic and proactive mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
- Target-driven with a strong focus on achieving business objectives.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
