Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving business growth through aggressive deposit mobilization, customer acquisition, relationship management, loan generation support, and sales of the Bank's financial products and services.
The ideal candidate must possess strong business development capabilities, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of achieving financial and operational targets within the banking or microfinance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities for the Bank.
Drive deposit mobilization and liability generation initiatives to support business growth.
Market and promote the Bank's products and financial solutions to individuals, SMEs, corporate clients, and other target markets.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers to ensure customer retention and business expansion.
Achieve assigned deposit mobilization, revenue generation, and portfolio growth targets.
Conduct daily field marketing, business visits, customer engagement, and market activation activities.
Source quality loan opportunities and support customer onboarding processes.
Develop strategic marketing plans to increase the Bank's market share and customer base.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide strategic business insights and recommendations.
Ensure excellent customer service delivery and prompt resolution of customer complaints and inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, marketing activities, and business development performance.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business development and performance reports.
Participate in sales campaigns, promotional activities, and community engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with the Bank's policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Competencies
Minimum of 3 – 5 years' relevant experience in Business Development, Deposit Mobilization, Sales, or Marketing within a financial institution or Microfinance Bank.
Proven track record in deposit mobilization, customer acquisition, and target achievement.
Strong understanding of retail banking, financial products, and microfinance operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, sales, and relationship management skills.
Strong networking, customer engagement, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a target-driven environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good presentation and reporting abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital banking tools.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer-focused mindset.
Educational Qualification
HND/B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
