This role is located in Marchwood, within the Cawood Scientific Environment Division. Marchwood, part of Cawood, was established in 1998 and performs a range of specialist analytical testing services to customers operating in the Environmental, Industrial and Agricultural Sectors from its three laboratories based in the South and North of England. Business Development Executive - Marchwood

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our growing sales team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about science and eager to start a career in sales. You’ll be responsible for identifying prospects, building relationships, and promoting our products to new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to potential clients via calls, emails, and networking.
  • Present and promote scientific products using clear, compelling arguments.
  • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Provide after-sales support and follow-up to ensure client retention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.)
  • Experience of working within a Laboratory environment.
  • Strong interest in sales and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn technical product details and explain them clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to grow professionally.
