Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our office in Milan

Reporting directly to the Business development Manager, you will:

  • Support the identification and development of new business opportunities in the renewable energy segment, with a particular focus on emerging ocean energy markets (tidal, wave, floating solutions)
  • Contribute to market intelligence activities, tracking industry trends, competitors, and new technologies in niche and fast-evolving sectors
  • Engage with external stakeholders (developers, EPCs, technology providers, institutions) to position Prysmian as a key partner in innovative projects
  • Support the preparation of commercial proposals, pre-qualifications, and tenders for new and strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, R&D, product management) to adapt existing solutions or develop new offerings tailored to emerging applications
  • Contribute to business development initiatives in defense and military applications, supporting strategic positioning and opportunity scouting
  • Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in both renewable and defense-related markets
  • Support client meetings, workshops, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new leads

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Fluent in English and another language is a plus
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent)
  • Up to 3-4 years of experience as/in a business development role
  • basic understanding of energy infrastructure, offshore or industrial projects
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
