About the Role:

Reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors, the Business Development Director must bring a credible track record within the international long‑term savings, life assurance, or intermediary‑led financial services sector.

Our client operates internationally across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America, distributing its long‑term savings and life assurance products through independent financial advisers and institutional partners.

This requires a leader who not only understands global adviser‑driven distribution but has a history of opening new markets, building new intermediary networks, and securing partnerships in the regions in which our client operates.

• Developing new intermediary or institutional distribution channels for Hansard within the international life assurance market, for products such as unit‑linked policies, regular‑premium and single‑premium solutions, and tax‑efficient structures.
• Driving business development activity across multiple geographies, mirroring Hansard's footprint across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
• Achieving measurable growth through new business acquisition, reflecting the company's emphasis on new business generation.
• Extensive global travel will be required

Qualifications:

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate relationships with senior decision‑makers across IFAs, wealth managers, and financial institutions, showing a consistent ability to open doors, build credibility quickly, and create long‑term value‑driven partnerships.
• This role demands someone with recognised industry standing, commercial acuity, and a proven ability to navigate products, partners and regulators across international savings and life assurance sectors, and willingness to travel.
