About the role

Qube Bulk now have a new position vacant for an Experience Business Development Coordinator to join our West Perth Office. The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is a multi-disciplinary role providing the Business Development team (and occasionally the broader business) customer service, administrative and coordination support.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the first points of contact for client enquiries via phone, email, portal, and EDI channels.
  • Coordinate responses to customer requests with the wider BD team, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation where required.
  • Accurately receive, process, and track customers, engagements, and quoting in Qube’s operational systems (Salesforce, Origin).
  • Coordinate as required with operations, planning, business development and commercial teams to assist with tender activities, customer on-boarding, resolving customer issues and ensuring service commitments are met.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of quarterly review meetings with clients, coordinating all aspects including cross-departmental scheduling, venue and technical setup, acquiring data from relevant stakeholders to create presentation packs and facilitate distribution of presentation packs and post-meeting minutes.
  • Investigate customer complaints or discrepancies quickly and professionally, whether by resolution or appropriate timely escalation.
  • Generate and distribute reports and documentation as required or directed.
  • Manage team shared inboxes.
  • Responsible for contributing to data integrity by maintaining accurate customer records, contact details, and special requirements in the CRM and operational systems.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional Qube services during client interactions.
  • Act as a flexible support resource for the BD team as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the BD team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administration role, preferably within transport, logistics, shipping, or bulk commodities (highly regarded).
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems, transport management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or terminal operating systems (advantageous).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Certificate II or III in Transport & Logistics, Customer Service, or Business (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop skills as we will teach you
  • Ability to type accurately at 40+ wpm and manage multiple systems simultaneously.
