We are looking to engage a Business Development Coordinator to support Alpin’s business development and sales activities for a high-profile sustainability-related programme in the GCC.

The coordinator will provide day-to-day support to the Strategic Development team by assisting with client identification, proposal preparation, market research, follow-ups, and coordination across the overall sales and revenue cycle. The role is intended to support ongoing business development activities for both new and existing clients, rather than independently developing or leading the sales strategy. The engagement with the consultant will be concluded upon completion of the agreed scope of support. The assignment shall be undertaken in the KSA.

Strategic Development Manager and/or Principal Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Business Development Coordinator will support the Strategic Development team with the following responsibilities:

• Identify potential new clients, developers, consultants, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders within target markets.
• Support the preparation and regular updating of client lists, lead trackers, opportunity pipelines, and business development databases.
• Conduct basic desktop market research to identify upcoming projects, potential opportunities, and relevant industry contacts.
• Assist in preparing expressions of interest, prequalification documents, and proposal submissions.
• Draft initial proposal content based on previous templates, company profiles, project references, and technical input from relevant team members.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams to collect project information, CVs, credentials, pricing inputs, and other documents required for proposals.
• Support the review and formatting of proposals to ensure consistency, completeness, and alignment with Alpin’s standards.
• Help track proposal deadlines, submission requirements, client clarifications, and follow-up actions.
• Assist with follow-ups on submitted proposals, client requests, pending information, purchase orders, and contract-related coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, client communication, and sales progress.
• Support the overall sales and revenue cycle by helping track leads from initial identification through proposal submission, negotiation, award, and handover.
• Prepare simple summaries, dashboards, and updates related to proposal status, client engagement, and potential opportunities.
• Support client relationship activities by helping organise meetings, prepare agendas, record key discussion points, and follow up on agreed actions.
• Assist in maintaining Alpin’s business development materials, including company profiles, credentials, project sheets, and presentation decks.
• Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Strategic Development team as required.

Skills:

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with clients, consultants, and internal team members.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to support multiple tasks, deadlines, and proposal requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Good coordination and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under supervision while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous exposure to business development, sales coordination, proposal preparation, or consulting environments is preferred.
• KSA driving license would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.­­­­­­­­
