Job Description

We see endless potential and we are enthusiastic about pushing the boundaries of science, art, technology and design. As part of TBG, you will be at the core of this belief, and together with more than 100 design professionals, you will drive the inspiration, impact and change we bring to the world. Founded in 1987, TBG is a leading design firm with expertise in landscape architecture and urban planning. We office in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio – with a portfolio spanning the United States and beyond.

As TBG’s largest and highest revenue office, Houston consistently leads the firm in both number of pursuits and active clients year over year. The scale and pace of this market warrant a robust business development structure that supports both strategic growth and consistent local engagement.

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated Houston-based Business Development Coordinator to amplify brand awareness, cultivate strategic relationships, and drive activation of Houston’s regional BD plans across key sectors. This role functions as a member of the firmwide CDEV team and under the guidance of the Regional BD Manager.

  • Providing a consistent local presence in the Houston market; regional travel involved
  • Supporting day-to-day outreach, coordination, and follow-through
  • Advancing key initiatives identified in our regional BD plan and executing strategy
  • Enhancing pursuit efficiency and pipeline tracking

Requirements:

  • Actively build and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, architecture firms, and key consultants
  • Establish a visible and credible external presence in Houston industry organizations (ULI, AIA, etc.)
  • Track and report client outreach and follow-up coordination
  • Assist with RFQ/RFP tracking, pursuit logistics, and scheduling
  • Maintain and update CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint) data and pipeline tracking
  • Conduct market research and opportunity tracking
  • Support execution of regional BD plan initiatives
  • Coordinate events, client meetings, and internal communication

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Timeliness, quality and consistency of Vantagepoint CRM pipeline data integrity and reporting
  • Increased client engagement and visibility in Houston market
  • Contribution to pursuit readiness and win positioning
  • Effectiveness of local coordination and follow-through
  • Strength of internal collaboration with Regional BD Manager, CDEV Firmwide Team, Houston principals and project managers, and overall team alignment
  • Consistently representing TBG’s brand with professionalism and credibility

At TBG you will find:

  • Commitment to your continued growth as a creative professional
  • Innovation initiatives to unleash bold ideas and pursuit of your passions, including TBG Idea Lab research grants
  • Genuine, thoughtful care for your health, wellbeing and balance, including paid insurance, flexible hours, fitness incentives, healthy snacks, and an employee assistance program
  • Opportunities to mentor and make a difference in the community
  • Employee stock ownership (TBG is 100% employee owned!)
  • Paid parental leave (6 weeks)
  • Benefits, savings resources and year-end profit sharing
