Want a business development role where building your market means actually getting out into it?
At CMC, we’re continuing to grow our business across the US and are looking for a Business Development Consultant to help us build the next stage of that growth.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your entire career building relationships from behind a screen.
You’ll be developing business across the US, identifying new opportunities, building long-term relationships with clients and specialist experts, and travelling regularly to the States to meet the people you work with face-to-face.
CMC is a specialist management consultancy working across STEM markets, including Renewable Energy, Advanced Engineering and Data Centres.
Unlike traditional recruitment, we don’t simply help companies hire permanent employees. We provide specialist consultants and project experts who support our clients in delivering major, business-critical projects.
For somebody joining us in business development, that means getting genuinely close to your market. You’ll understand what your clients are trying to achieve, the challenges getting in their way and where CMC can bring in the specialist expertise to help them deliver.
You’ll take real ownership of developing your US market, including:
Because your clients and market are in the US, your working pattern will align with them:
Monday–Thursday: 12pm–9pm
Friday: Flexible working, with the option to work either UK hours of 8:30am–4pm or US hours, depending on what best suits your business.
There will also be very regular travel to the US, giving you the opportunity to spend real time in your market, meeting clients and experts and developing those relationships in person.
If international travel and actually getting in front of the people you do business with excites you rather than puts you off, you’ll probably enjoy this role.
We don’t expect you to arrive knowing everything about management consultancy.
We’re looking for someone who is:
We want our people to do well financially, progress their careers and enjoy the rewards that come with success.
You’ll have access to:
You aren’t joining just to manage an existing patch.
You’re joining to help grow CMC’s US business. You’ll have the chance to open doors, develop relationships, travel into your market and create something you can genuinely point to and say, “I built that.”
And when you succeed, we want you to benefit from it too, through uncapped earnings, progression, incentives and international experiences.
If you like the idea of owning a US market, travelling regularly to meet your clients and experts, and being properly rewarded for the business you build, we’d love to talk.
Apply now and let’s have a conversation.
