Bupa Global has offices around the world including London and Brighton (UK), Dublin (Europe), Miami (USA), Dubai (UAE, in partnership with OIC), Egypt and Hong Kong (China) as well as regional offices in mainland China, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Panama, Guatemala and Ecuador.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through the broker distribution channel to achieve agreed new business sales targets.
  • Manage all aspects of intermediary new business development, from pipeline generation to onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
  • Identify and develop latent business potential within the assigned broker portfolio through structured account planning and regular engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across intermediary partners, including senior leadership within strategically important accounts.
  • Develop and grow both existing and new intermediary relationships to maximise distribution opportunities for Bupa Global products.
  • Take a consultative approach with brokers, offering insights and solutions that support their client needs while delivering value to Bupa Global.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality sales training and product presentations to intermediary partners, ensuring clear understanding of Bupa Global’s propositions and key differentiators.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Pricing, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance to ensure broker and client needs are clearly understood and appropriately addressed.
  • Ensure all sales and distribution activities comply fully with Hong Kong regulatory requirements, including HKIA guidelines and relevant Bupa Global governance standards.
  • To assist and participate in new product and market development.
  • Remain up to date with Bupa Global’s propositions to be able to provide advice on the most appropriate cover options for clients, including strong relationships with pricing and marketing.

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Proven sales experience within insurance (IPMI is a plus), financial services, banking, or wealth management, ideally with exposure to high-net-worth (HNW) client segments.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing intermediary-led sales and consistently delivering against new business targets and KPIs.
  • Experience working with insurance brokers or third-party distribution partners; an established broker network in Hong Kong is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the Hong Kong insurance market and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks (including HKIA requirements).
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels within intermediary organisations.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess business potential, and convert strategy into execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence delivering broker training and sales enablement sessions.
