We are looking for a Business Development Associate to work in Optics. In this role, you will be identifying, acting upon and securing new business opportunities across our region within the community and in care home sector.
You will manage your own diary, whilst ensuring the delivery of a high-quality professional services to patients and clients that we support in their own homes and in some care home settings.
You must be used to building relationships as this role will involve generating new business and forging strong relationships with the likes of GPs practices, sheltered accommodation/independent living, PR and local community engagement. You will help organise and run small events like coffee mornings or do presentations to external parties to help raise brand awareness across the region and to assist with community engagement.
Once you are trained in Optics, you will be travelling across the region to help support an Optometrist to carry out eyecare clinics as well as after care, such as fitting glasses, doing any minor repairs and also carrying out clinical duties such as pre-screening and dispensing glasses when on testing days. In short, you will make sure every customer gets has a great experience with us.

What we offer
Applicants with previous Business Development Experience need only apply who are willing and keen to learn the optics side of the business.
This is a bit of a unique opportunity for someone with a proven track record in securing new business, coupled with the option to be trained in optics which in turn will allow you do focus on the business development side of the business 4 or 5 days a week, but you may be required to assist in clinics, if necessary, once trained and depending on business needs.
You must be a confident driver and have a full and clean driving licence.
