Business Development Associate (Open To Graduates & Career Changers, Training Provided)

Location: Bristol (Office-Based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 base (DOE) + uncapped commission
OTE (Year 1): £50,000 – £60,000
Top Performers: £75,000+
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll focus on building new business opportunities, connecting with decision-makers, sparking interest, and creating a strong pipeline for the sales team. Your work will directly impact revenue and event growth.

If you’re driven and consistent, you’ll quickly progress into a closing role, with a clear path toward becoming an Event Sales Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Proactively sourcing and qualifying new business opportunities

  • Reaching out to decision-makers via phone, email, and LinkedIn

  • Building early-stage relationships with potential exhibitors and sponsors

  • Understanding client goals and identifying where our events can add value

  • Booking qualified meetings and handing over warm opportunities to sales

  • Keeping pipeline and activity data organised and up to date

  • Collaborating with internal teams to maximise lead generation

Who You Are

You’re motivated, confident, and eager to build a career in sales. You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and enjoy the challenge of turning conversations into opportunities.

Experience in sales or customer-facing roles is a plus, but not required - we provide full training and support.

What You’ll Get
  • £25,000 – £29,000 base salary

  • Uncapped commission (OTE £50,000 – £60,000 in Year 1)
