This role assists a select group of Financial Planners by enhancing client relationships and expanding their practice through targeted marketing and prospecting activities. The individual will contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies to enhance the Financial Planner and TD Wealth brand. They will also support the direct growth of the Financial Planning business through acquisition strategies
The Business Development Manager will be tasked with contacting prospective clients and arranging introductory meetings for the Financial Planners they support. The position offers opportunities to build sales and relationship management skills, with potential for advancement in the Financial Planning business.
Accountabilities:
Support business acquisition through outbound calling and email campaigns, interacting directly with prospective clients, representing the FP channel and our value proposition.
Gather information from potential clients to assess their needs and recommend relevant Financial Planning services.
Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Financial Planners, while managing CRM records and pipeline activities.
Continuously assess and identify opportunities and capabilities required to better drive acquisition. Establish a feedback loop with advisors to gather insights and refine the program to meet their evolving needs.
Assist in the growth of their practice by guiding them through key digital client acquisition and client deepening strategies.
Manage Financial Planners' queries related to the marketing ecosystem and assist in execution, including but not limited to advisor websites, social media, on-demand marketing platform, and client/prospecting events.
Support execution of strategic programs tailored to enhance marketing skills and usage of marketing ecosystems dedicated to Financial Planners, focusing on developing a best-in-class marketing support model.
Capabilities:
University degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in sales, inside sales, business development, client service; financial services and or TD Wealth experience is a plus.
Proven work experience working directly with financial advisors in a consultative capacity.
Comfort with outbound calling and virtual relationship management.
Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills.
A highly motivated and proactive professional with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability.
Ability to meet deadlines; strong time management and organizational skills to manage priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable with CRM systems, Excel, and digital sales tools.
Desire to grow within the financial planning and financial services industry.
Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.
CIRO license preferred (required within first 90 days in role)
