About Ernströmgruppen
Ernströmgruppen is a family-owned, Gothenburg-based industry conglomerate that together with entrepreneurs wants to further develop well managed companies for future generations. The company's operations span everything from marine safety equipment, technology trade, to the delivery of components and services for energy efficiency of industries and properties. Ernströmgruppen currently consists of more than 50 companies with a total turnover of around SEK 5 billion and has over 1500 employees in the Nordic region and Northern Europe. Ernströmgruppen’s office in central Gothenburg has a team of 12 people.
The role
As an intern at Ernströmgruppen you will be an integral part of our Business Development and M&A team and help us in developing our existing businesses as well as in our M&A activities. You will have the opportunity to gain experience from a wide range of topics. Examples of work tasks include:
Perform analyses related to business strategy and improvement projects for different companies in the group.
Support the M&A team in identifying acquisition prospects in different geographical markets.
Support evaluation of specific active investment cases.
Perform different macro- and market analyses, review industry trends and assess implications for the different businesses in Ernströmgruppen.
We are looking for you who are about 2-4 years into your education. You are most likely studying towards a master's degree in Engineering or Business, with strong academic results.
Since the work tasks are of mixed character, the internship will require flexibility, curiosity, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently. As a person we expect you to have an ability to work on both big and small topics and short and long projects. You see yourself as efficient, self-going, flexible and you enjoy rolling up your sleeves when it is needed.
The position is primarily based at our office in central Gothenburg, and we therefore welcome applicants who are located in or able to commute to the Gothenburg area.
The scope will be about 20-50% of full time, depending on your study situation and our needs, with a start in August 2026.
