Connecting with Customers Enabling Business Growth. — Velocity Electronics, a Jabil Company, is seeking a Business Development & Account Management Senior Manager– Guadalajara, Mexico to lead and grow strategic customer relationships, create and develop new business opportunities, and protect and expand existing accounts. This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sustainable business growth, strengthening partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring strong alignment between customer needs and our business objectives.

In this role, you will play a key part in expanding Velocity Electronics’ market share, developing strategic business opportunities, and driving sustainable customer growth. You will build strong relationships with key customers, identify new opportunities, and work closely with internal teams to turn customer needs into meaningful business solutions.

• Manage Business Development Managers within the assigned region(s), providing direction, support, and accountability to drive business growth.
• Drive Sales Performance | Enable the Sales Team
• Support Sales Management in motivating, training, and assisting Sales Representatives to maximize sales revenue and gross profit margin.
• Build Strategic Customer Partnerships | Earn Preferred Status
• Develop and execute strategies to obtain Approved Vendor status with key customers, strengthening Velocity’s position as a trusted strategic partner.
• Align Regional Strategy | Think Beyond One Market
• Work closely with Sales Management to ensure a cohesive top-down and bottom-up strategy across regional and cross-regional customers.
• Strengthen Customer Relationships | Be Where the Customer Is
• Plan and accompany Sales Representatives and Business Development Managers on periodic customer visits to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and understand customer needs firsthand.
• Manage Customer Visit Planning | Turn Travel Into Results
• Create periodic reports detailing scheduled customer visits, as well as aggregate and individual travel expenses associated with customer engagement.
• Own Business Insights | Turn Data Into Action
• Create and present periodic reports covering sales and gross profit projections, actual total sales, estimated total customer spend, quarterly work and travel plans, and business results.
• Maintain Business Intelligence | Keep Our Data Working for Us
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data, reports, contacts, and communications within the Velocity Information System (VIS).
• Represent Velocity | Bring Our Values to Every Interaction
• Represent and communicate Velocity’s culture, values, and value proposition to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably within the electronic components industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing sales or business development teams, with a track record of delivering revenue and gross profit growth.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, account management, customer development, and CRM systems.
• Strong knowledge of the electronic components industry, including products, suppliers, customers, market dynamics, and sourcing strategies.
• Proven ability to develop and execute regional and cross-regional sales strategies and identify opportunities for market expansion.
• Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior-level customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to translate customer needs and market insights into strategic business opportunities and measurable .
