Travel Percentage: 50%NYRC is looking for a dedicated Account Executive professional to join our team!
The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth across occupational health programs, disability management, and medical assessment services by building and strengthening partnerships with employers, insurers, and other key referral stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong sales background and a solid understanding of disability management, early intervention strategies, and occupational health services. They are relationship-focused, with the ability to prospect effectively and expand market presence across key segments.
This role requires the candidate to work across brands to provide customers with customized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with a focus on disability insurers, workers’ compensation, third-party administrators, and public and private sector employer markets
- Drive growth of occupational health services, including workplace assessments, injury prevention, pre-placement health exams, alcohol and drug testing with MRO services, and other employee health programs
- Promote and sell disability case management services (occupational & non-occupational), independent medical evaluations (IMEs), functional & cognitive capacity evaluations, ergonomic assessments, transferable skills analysis, fitness to work & accommodation assessments, along with other related services.
- Develop strategic sales plans and execute targeted outreach campaigns
- Strategically grow and maintain a high‑performing national network of physicians and health professionals aligned to referral demand and service delivery gaps.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including insurers, HR leaders, case managers, and occupational health professionals
- Develop and strengthen long-term client relationships through proactive account management, regular engagement, and a deep understanding of client priorities.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to align client needs with service delivery
- Stay informed on industry trends in disability management, occupational health, and insurance sectors
- Representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Actively utilize and leverage Client Relationship Management (CRM) technology to improve business relationships and drive growth.
- Track pipeline activity and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in healthcare, insurance, or occupational health services (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of disability management (STD, LTD, Workers’ Compensation) and occupational health services
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling and understanding of disability insurance, employer, and occupational health markets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Post-secondary education in business, healthcare, or a related field
- Salesforce experience preferred (or comparable CRM) for pipeline management, activity tracking, forecasting, and reporting
