If so, come and develop the IKEA business together with us! We are now looking for a new Business Developer for Category Solid Wood in Warsaw office.

As a Business Developer:

  • You will be a member a 3-function micro-team focusing on particular suppliers.
  • You will be driving business agenda with your supplier and focusing on delivering seamless supply performance.
  • You will be supported with a Production Engineer, who takes care of the production process, quality and compliance to IKEA standards, and a Supply Planner who handles logistics, capacity and production planning.
  • Based on the high level strategic goals and then detailed tactical horizon, you will develop with the team and the suppliers annual action plans and make them delivered every year. Driving innovations, securing the growth, improving the business and contributing to category business agenda, this will be your daily bread.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role:

  • You have proven experience in purchasing, development and maintenance of business relations with external partners
  • Passion in leading business agenda, working with people and making things happen
  • Economic and financial knowledge, ability to work and understand numbers is a must
  • Very good knowledge of production process and related cost drivers will be an advantage
  • Strong negotiation skills, leadership and high decisiveness
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in written, knowledge of the Polish language will be an additional asset
  • Ability to build good relations and communicate with others effectively: listen to others, actively search for feedback and give feedback
  • Openness for changes and ability to work efficiently in fast changing work environment
  • Readiness to work with many tasks in the same time
  • Proactive approach in daily work
  • Readiness to search for new solutions and challenge existing “status quo”
  • Capability to handle business with big picture in mind and ability to transfer it into concrete actions
  • Personal interest in home furnishing products
  • Active driving license cat. B

Additional Information

This job requires travelling up to 30% of time.

This is full time position, based in Warsaw, Poland.
