Main Purpose:
The Business Developer will develop and expand customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and securing profitable commercial agreements to drive business growth
The successful candidate will be expected to market the company’s services, manage key clients and vendor relationships, analyse client requirements and prepare suitable commercial offers and agreements. Candidates will also be required to have strong contract administration skills
This candidate will play an important role in growing our market presence and ensuring our flawless implementation of central initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Act as primary commercial liaison for existing client accounts while developing new relationships to enhance the company’s market eminence.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to successfully penetrate new markets and expand existing ones (e.g. SBC blending to make SAF)
Develop a strong understanding of customer supply chains, operational requirements and market dynamics to identify value-added commercial solutions across existing and new business lines.
Identify and establish relationships with key collaborators, including across existing and new business lines.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to determine competitive landscape and emerging trends with the aim of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including storage, logistics and infrastructure-related opportunities across the ARA market.
Work across existing and new business lines to ensure business development activities support company goals.
Prepare commercial proposals, investment cases, presentations and present proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management.
Monitor and analyse performance metrics (e.g market share) to ensure ambitious targets are met
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable deals. Manage and assist with resolving any customer complaints, liaising closely with relevant internal teams
Strictly adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor degree preferred
Proven experience to originate, negotiate and close commercial deals within the industry.
Established network and understanding of the ARA energy, fuels or industrial market is highly desirable.
Prior experience with fuel storage terminal highly desirable.
Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Ambitious approach with a drive to compete and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships. Ability to determine actionable insights from market research.
Flawless execution of central initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work autonomously as well as within a cooperative group
