About this role

The Enterprise Decision Intelligence (EDI) team’s goal is to enhance executive decision-making through two primary modes: delivering high-ROI deep-dive research on strategic questions and maintaining ongoing KPI measurement across the organization. The team serves as the "one source of truth," driving data democratization, early issue detection, and organizational visibility.

This role serves as a senior strategic consultant within the EDI team, providing the analytical muscle for strategic decisions. The primary focus is the Deep Dive Research pillar, investigating high-stakes, high-ROI questions that lack existing frameworks (rather than routine reporting).

The successful candidate will be a versatile researcher capable of rapidly mastering new business domains and delivering data-backed clarity to the C-suite to drive organizational visibility and actionable intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Research: Owns end-to-end deep dive projects into critical and complex business questions.
• Executive Influence: Synthesize complex data findings into high-level strategic narratives, providing the executive team with actionable insights and data-backed recommendations.
• Domain Adaptation: Rapidly learn and deconstruct new areas of the business to identify the underlying drivers of success and inefficiency.
• Advanced Simulation: Utilizes Python and simulation frameworks to model "what-if" scenarios, forecasting the impact of strategic shifts on company KPIs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with stakeholders across GTM, G&A, and R&D to ensure research is grounded in operational reality and long-term strategy, and promotes "one source of truth."
• Data Democratization: Identifies ways to codify deep-dive findings into ongoing metric measurements to increase visibility across the organization.

Requirements

Professional Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Operations Research, or a highly quantitative Strategic Consulting role.

• Proven track record of delivering "Deep Dive" research that directly influenced executive strategy.
• Expert at navigating ambiguity and translating complex business problems into structured projects.
• Adaptability & Learning Agility - quickly learning new business domains, tools, and technologies.

Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a scientific or quantitative field.

Data Science & Modeling:

• Strong Python skills
• Custom Modeling: Hands-on experience building custom frameworks (e.g., Monte Carlo) and sophisticated forecasting.
• Data-science Technical Breadth (Plus): Experience with ML, Predictive Analytics, Statistical testing, Exploratory Data Analysis, Optimization, etc.

Communication & Business Acumen:

• Data Storytelling: Exceptional ability to visualize and present complex findings to executive stakeholders.
• Business Insight: Strong grasp of corporate logic, and experience analyzing these fields.
• A "consultative" mindset focused on the "big picture" beyond the code.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure research alignment.
• Language: Full professional English proficiency for executive-level influence and presentation.

SQL proficiency is a plus
