In more traditional terms, our core business revolves around data management, data engineering, data architectures, data & AI strategy and governance as well as hands-on AI solutions - all of which enable exceptional user experiences, efficiency gains, and new business models. We also get our hands dirty with real-time data, ML/GenAI solutions or building enterprise-level ML platforms with modern state of the art data tech stacks. We’re tech-agnostic, but some of our most commonly used tools include Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Databricks. In simple terms, we tech the heck out of data. NOW TO THE ROLE ITSELF

We’re eager to find a Business Data Principal to join our band of about 40 Recordlians and be part of taking Recordly’s growth to the next level. You’ll work closely with other Recordlians as well as our customers within different data assignments. We’ve identified various business areas where we seek growth, and depending on your interest, the focus can be on, for example:

• Data strategy You will focus on aligning data strategies with broader business objectives to drive growth and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include e.g. developing comprehensive data strategies and collaborating with senior management to integrate data initiatives into overall business strategies. In practice, you would Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and process improvement, lead cross-functional teams to implement data projects that deliver measurable business value, communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and ensure alignment and buy-in.

• Account ownership and strategic growth You will take full ownership of some of our customer accounts, ensuring the successful delivery of data projects and fostering solid and long-term customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include managing and growing key customer accounts by understanding their business needs, leading project teams to deliver high-quality data solutions on time and within budget, and acting as customers' primary point of contact. You would ensure clear communication and exceptional services, monitor and report on account performance, identify additional ways our customers can benefit from our services, and ensure customer satisfaction as well as retention through proactive engagement and support.

• Industry-specific advisor You will leverage your deep industry knowledge to drive data initiatives that address industry-specific challenges and opportunities. Your responsibilities will include e.g. developing and implementing data strategies tailored to specific industries, collaborating with customers to understand their industry-specific needs, and delivering customized data solutions. You would also lead industry-focused data projects from inception to completion, provide thought leadership and insights on industry trends and best practices, and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry to drive business growth and innovation.

• Tech-specific advisor You will utilize your extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of a specific technology in past projects to enhance and develop our offering and serve as a trusted advisor in customer assignments. This technical area could be related to visualization technologies and development methodologies. Power BI is, for example, quite often used in our customer environments.

• Or another core area, which can be defined together! We’re flexible like that. The most important thing for us is finding the right fit with a person who has a strong business mindset and passion for data, as well as vision and means to grow together.

The role will include both hands-on data work and operating on a more strategic level in forming our offering and driving sales cases. Even though you stay on track with the latest bells and whistles, you understand and respect that technology is only a tool to realize business impact. You get your biggest endorphin boosts from making a real change with data and seeing the impact firsthand.

You enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and acting as a trusted advisor is crucial for your success in this role. You'll also contribute to development initiatives within the company, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies. A part of your compensation will be linked to the growth of your core area while also taking into account the well-being of the Recordlians working on the assignments.

• Relevant experience in the field of building data solutions for business needs.
• A solid understanding of data architecture.
• You can operate with at least one of the major data platforms and technologies such as e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or dbt.
• You take pride in staying up-to-date with the latest data advancements, industry trends, and best practices. And you share the knowledge onwards.
• You naturally take a consultative approach, and you can transform customers' challenges into business opportunities and effectively provide solutions.
• You feel at ease moving between different abstraction levels between tech and business.
• You enjoy working closely with your colleagues and mentoring others, and you have good interpersonal skills.
• Good Finnish and English skills, as some of our projects are in Finnish.
