Data Analyst

Location: San José, Costa Rica

This is a contingent worker position and will be filled on a contract basis.

About the Role

At World Kinect, data powers how we serve customers across energy, aviation, and global markets. As a Data Analyst, you’ll turn complex data into clear insights that help teams make smarter, faster decisions. You’ll design dashboards, build reports, and work closely with business partners to bring data to life.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, test, and maintain reports and dashboards that deliver actionable business insights.
• Use Tableau and/or Power BI across the full analytics lifecycle — from data discovery and preparation to visualization, insight sharing, and deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver management‑level reporting and analytical tools
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data, validating reports against transactional and dimensional data.
• Troubleshoot data issues and improve reporting reliability as needed.
• Collaborate with Finance Operations and other business teams to understand processes such as billing, vendor payments, and exposure management, and how data flows through World Kinect systems.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights that support business decisions.

What You Bring

• 1+ year of experience in an analytics, data, or business intelligence role.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Tableau
• Ability to write and understand SQL queries
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• English proficiency at B2 level (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

Experience with:

• Power BI
• Snowflake
• Power Automate
• Financial or operational data environments
