Business Data Analyst
We are currently seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our Sales team. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming commercial and sales data into meaningful business insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Senior Management, you will analyze market performance, sales effectiveness, customer activity, and field force execution, delivering actionable recommendations through reports, dashboards, and data-driven analysis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence commercial strategy and contribute directly to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales performance across products, territories, channels, customers, and market segments to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate Medical Representatives' field activities, including visit frequency, customer segmentation, call coverage, targeting effectiveness, and execution against commercial objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and automate regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and KPIs for Management and key stakeholders.
- Prepare executive presentations and business reports, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing commercial analysis for Sales, Marketing, Product Managers, and Senior Leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate product performance, promotional activities, and commercial initiatives.
- Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of commercial databases and reporting.
- Identify business trends, customer behavior patterns, and market opportunities through quantitative analysis.
- Participate in sales forecasting, performance monitoring, and commercial planning activities.
- Recommend improvements in reporting processes, data visualization, and business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making efficiency.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Commercial Excellence initiatives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful analytical solutions.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies regarding commercial and customer data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Business Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and transform them into business recommendations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with Power BI or similar Business Intelligence platforms.
- Good understanding of sales performance metrics, KPIs, and commercial reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent command of Greek & English (both written and spoken).
- Military obligations fulfilled (for men).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG industry.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesrep, SAP or similar).
- Knowledge of IQVIA or pharmaceutical market data.
- Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and dashboard development.
- Understanding of sales force effectiveness metrics and territory performance analysis.
- Experience with forecasting methodologies and commercial planning.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive analytics.
