Job Description

We’re launching a major transformation programme to build an Open Data driven culture, and we’re looking for a Business Data Analyst to play a key role in this journey on a 24 month FTC.

You’ll join our Data Strategy & Operations team within the Performance & Insights function, helping to improve how we use data to drive smarter decisions across the business with a strong focus on Open Data and Data Quality.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale data programme focused on reporting, visualisation, and insight delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and data requirements across the organisation.

  • Map data flows and ensure strong data quality, governance, and integrity.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver data products, reports, and dashboards.

  • Support the development of Open Data initiatives and reporting solutions.

  • Translate complex data into clear insights, visualisations, and recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Contribute to scalable and sustainable data solution design aligned with business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Data or BI Business Analyst role, ideally within data transformation programmes.

  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, data governance, and data quality principles.

  • Experience with SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. QlikSense).

  • Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data flows.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.

  • Naturally curious with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 (dependant on skills and experience)
