
Business Coordinator - Service Line Operations (19.99 Hours or Less, Non-Benefit Bearing)-(2602514)
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent and 2 years of office related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Auditing experience preferred.
To manage, coordinate, and directly support the administrative and business management, and/or staff activities within a Process/Department.
Manages and supports the administrative and business/financial execution between UTMB and its EMS vendors.
Job Duties:
·Financial related tasks
oReconciles Process accounts comparing entries on ledgers with invoices, journal vouchers, and purchase orders to verify accuracy of posting and receipt of payment for services provided by the Process.
oIdentifies variances in expenditures and reports to customers as appropriate.
oCoordinates the process’ accounts receivable and posting revenues.
oMaintains detailed reports and records of accounting data.
oAssists in the preparation of detailed financial, statistical, and annual reports.
oCoordinates with purchasing to ensure timely issuance of Purchasing Orders to EMS vendors
·Software related tasks
oComposes correspondence and memorandums in appropriate business letter format.
oProofreads all completed assignments for grammar, format, and structure.
oCreates, maintains, and manipulates databases and spreadsheets.
·Clerical tasks – filing, scheduling, reporting, etc.
oConducts audits of EMS bills to verify patient identity, EMS pickup and dropoff locations, and payer information.
oDevelops area/process office record keeping systems.
oCompiles data for necessary reports and develops reports that are user friendly.
oCoordinates meeting notifications and prepares agendas.
oFiles process/area records, reports, correspondence, and other documents maintaining files in accordance with the current Record Retention Schedule.
·Customer Service
oInteracts with customers toward effective problem resolution and assists with questions regarding policies, procedures, and operations of the process or area.
oAbility to think independently and make decisions as necessary.
oMay interface with leadership at UT Components, city, and/or state government agencies or outside vendors.
·Miscellaneous
oInitiates improvements in work process/environment.
oAnalyzes and standardizes procedures for improved efficiencies.
oPrioritizes daily work assignments.
oContributes ideas and suggestions for improvements to the process.
oSupports and assists in the cross training of team members.
oGood overall knowledge of Non-Exempt Administrative Support role skills.
oAdheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
oPerforms related duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Experience in auditing is a plus
Salary Range:Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
19.99 hours or less per week, no set schedule.
