The team

The CTO Finance team aims to support the Global CTO organization to make robust business decisions based on our analysis and advices. The CTO organization is at the core of delivering our strategy to build a leading digital bank. As approximately 15% of the cost base in ING is in our Tech and Operations this means you can truly make a difference.

The CTO Finance team is a small department, which will allow you to get exposure to senior managers of CTO. We think every day about how we can do things smarter, so we can spend our time on where we make the most impact: advising the business.

The opportunity business controller Retail Banking & Technology (RBT)

The current role for which we are looking for a new colleague is the domain of CTO Finance. In this role you have quite some exposure with the CIOs of ING and with countries, because RBT delivers services for whole ING Bank like One Pam, Shared Datalake, Pega platform, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Sparring partner for senior management in strategic and tactical decision making
  • Provide reports and analysis in a timely manner to support management decisions
  • Design and delivery of COO Finance and CTO Finance (non-)financials through Quarterly Performance Reviews, bi-annual Strategic Dialogues, Dynamic Planning, and Monthly Analysis
  • Advise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and control
  • Follow cost trends and adjust Rolling Forecast periodically
  • Perform run-rate analysis, advise on cost efficiency opportunities and prepare business cases for Change programs
  • Reporting and analysis (vs. Plan) of Actual spend using standard dashboards and other tools
  • Full control of costs (P&L) and FTEs, including the review & approval of requisitions, cost charging and analytical review
  • Maintain effective management of MA data-sources and monitor implementation of org. structure changes (i.e. Info Memos, RFAs)
  • Strong collaboration with finance colleagues, and non-finance stakeholders to ensure greater transparency, consistency, and insight

Furthermore, You Have

Current residency in the Netherlands

University (Bachelor's/Master's) degree

5+ years of professional working experience in a relevant position such as Finance Business Partner, Business controller, or compatible

Knowledge of banking operations and operational excellence

Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management. Organizational sensitivity and effective conflict management skills

Being pro-active and curious will help you to be successful in this dynamic environment.
