JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    a. Develop comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for building and infrastructure projects to meet OP, billing schedule and cash flow.
    b. Conduct rigorous financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling, to assess project performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
    c. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the B&I Head and senior management based on financial data and analysis, supporting informed decision-making and resource allocation.

  2. Financial Management:
    a. Establish and maintain robust financial controls and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    b. Monitor project financial performance in real-time, tracking actual revenues & costs against budgets and forecasts, and proactively addressing variances to minimize financial risks and maximize profitability.
    c. Manage project profit and loss (P&L), analyzing revenue streams, cost structures, and profit margins to optimize project financial outcomes and drive overall business success.
    d. Monitor purchase orders from clients, ensuring timely receipt and accurate processing to facilitate billing and revenue recognition in accordance with contractual agreements and project milestones.
  3. Cost Control and Optimization:
    a. Conduct detailed analysis of project costs, including direct costs, indirect costs, and overhead expenses, to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve project margins.
    b. Continuously monitor project cost trends and market dynamics, adjusting cost management strategies as needed to mitigate potential risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
    c. Review and recommendation of overtime pay per cut off.

  4. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    a. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and dashboards for project stakeholders, providing clear insights into project financial performance, KPIs, and key metrics.
    b. Proactively identify and address financial compliance risks, implementing controls and process improvements to enhance financial governance and mitigate potential liabilities.
    c. Oversee the preparation and compilation of required billing attachments, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordance with contractual obligations and client requirements.
    d. Comply with Finance Department needed reports and cut off. Such as revenue, cost and revenue accrual, P&L etc.

  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    a. Serve as a trusted financial advisor and business partner to project managers, senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on financial matters and fostering collaborative relationships.
    b. Actively participate in project meetings, reviews, and decision-making forums, representing the financial perspective and advocating for strategies that align with project objectives and financial goals.
    c. Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project financial performance, risks, and opportunities, and soliciting feedback to drive continuous improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or any related field.
  2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, project accounting, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of project accounting principles, cost management techniques, and financial analysis methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  5. Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to project financial management.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
