Searching for a Business Controller to join our unique international helicopter company. Beyond the spreadsheets, you'll be a trusted business partner, helping drive decisions with real operational impact.

The Business Controller acts as a Finance Business Partner for dedicated bases or overhead departments within the NHV Group.

This role provides management with valuable reports and insights into the business to support operational and strategic decision making. Responsibilities include the preparation, development and analysis of management accounting information as well as the delivery of high-quality reports providing insights in key business drivers.

The Business Controller interprets results and identifies trends proactively, highlights issues, and works in partnership with the business to plan appropriate actions.

This position, based in Ostend (Belgium) reports to the Group Controller, in close co-operation with the Base Managers and key managers across the Group.

Responsibilities & main result areas:

• Own monthly reporting, performance analysis and cost control across assigned countries and bases

• Drive cost awareness and challenge spending across the business

• Analyze maintenance costs and support operational improvement initiatives

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and business plans, while contributing to long-term planning

• Support pricing, tenders and commercial decision-making

• Identify risks and opportunities through financial and operational analysis

• Develop business cases, investment analyses and ad hoc insights to support management decisions

• Ensure compliance with information security policies and controls

We are looking for someone with a first relevant work experience, bachelor/master in Economics or similar, and sound business acumen.

Excel holds no secrets for you, and knowledge of Power BI or Business Central gives you an immediate head start.

As you'll be working in Ostend, Belgium, you have a sound and proven knowledge of Dutch & English.

It will come as no surprise to you that we expect you to have strong analytical and numerical skills.

Please note that while hybrid working is available, we value a strong on-site presence and expect you to work regularly from our office. Occasional international travel might be part of the role, and fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
