About Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions

Ericsson has a vision to lead in the emerging Enterprise 5G networking and security markets and establish 5G as a communication platform via global network APIs. Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions (BEWS) plays a fundamental role in achieving this goal by building a differentiated enterprise networking and security product portfolio and by scaling a global multi-channel go-to-market. Leveraging Ericsson’s leadership in cellular, BEWS aims to become the trusted partner for enterprise wireless network infrastructure, with cellular as the entry point and zero trust security as a norm.

Grow with us

The Business Controller – Global Operations Organization is the senior finance partner to Global Operations leadership, providing financial leadership across a highly complex operational environment that includes the global customer support unit and service delivery. This role requires an operational mindset, strong business judgment, and the ability to translate complex cost structures, productivity drivers, workforce investments, service economics, and delivery performance into actionable decisions. The successful candidate will help BEWS scale with financial discipline while strengthening customer experience, service quality, and profitability.

Role differentiators

  • Embedded finance partner to Global Operations leadership, with a strong operational and cost-transparency mindset. Primary focus on value creation via service economics, cost complexity, productivity, workforce planning, support operations, delivery revenue, and operational scalability.
  • Requires enterprise experience, senior executive support, and the ability to manage through ambiguity in a complex global operating model. Substantial use of AI tools to support meaningful insights and personal productivity.
  • Ideal background includes Wireless WAN, networking, telecom, customer support, service delivery, managed services, or adjacent enterprise technology operations.

What you will do

  • Act as the trusted finance advisor to Global Operations, influencing decisions on operating model design, capacity planning, service delivery, customer support investments, and resource allocation to align strategy with financial targets and BEWS growth objectives.
  • Lead FP&A for global operations—covering operating expenses, workforce costs, support functions, service delivery, and recurring services revenue—and delivers performance insights across cost, productivity, revenue, margin, and service KPIs.
  • Build dashboards and decision frameworks that increase transparency into global cost dynamics and operational performance, enabling faster, data‑driven management actions.
  • Analyse profitability, delivery efficiency, and cost‑to‑serve for support and service offerings, creating models for resource allocation, capacity planning, workforce optimization, and scalable service growth while protecting margins and customer experience.
  • Drive cost management and productivity by improving visibility into complex global cost structures and leading financial analysis for headcount planning, org changes, sourcing decisions, automation, and process simplification.
  • Provide governance and risk oversight for operations—monitoring capacity constraints, cost pressures, delivery challenges, and margin erosion—ensuring investments have clear business cases, measurable outcomes, and compliant accounting in partnership with Financial Control and Financial Business Services.

Desired outcomes

  • Improved transparency and decision quality across complex global operations cost and revenue dynamics.
  • Stronger linkage between operational plans, service performance, productivity, and financial outcomes.
  • Scalable operating decisions that support BEWS growth while protecting profitability and customer experience.
  • Finance recognized as a practical, trusted, and proactive partner to Global Operations leadership.

What skills you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including experience leading or managing people.
  • Significant experience supporting operations, customer support, service delivery, managed services, supply chain, or similarly complex operating environments. Strong understanding of operational finance, cost management, productivity measurement, resource planning, and service economics.
  • Experience in Wireless WAN, networking, telecom, cybersecurity, or adjacent enterprise technology sectors strongly preferred. Passion and growth mindset, with the ability to help BEWS scale toward $1B+ revenue while maintaining operational discipline.
