LVMH F&C Singapore (LFCS) handles 7 brands of perfumes and cosmetics of the LVMH group (Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Benefit, Givenchy, Kenzo and Fresh) and regroups various activities, for Singapore and Asia region, of logistics, production, quality, commercial and back-office. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Controller to join our finance team. This role will primarily focus on the financial control and analysis of marketing expenses and overall operational expenditures (OPEX). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting budgeting processes, and providing insightful analysis to drive informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Expense Control & Analysis:
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing expenses against budget and forecasts, identifying variances and investigating root causes.
    • Review and approve marketing invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies and budgetary limits.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing department to understand campaigns, projects, and related financial implications.
    • Prepare monthly accruals and reconciliations for marketing-related expenses.
    • Assist in the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing spend efficiency.
  • Operational Expenditure (OPEX) Management:
    • Support the overall OPEX budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with various department heads to gather inputs and ensure accuracy.
    • Perform monthly analysis of actual OPEX against budget and prior periods, explaining significant deviations.
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all operational expenses in the general ledger.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across various operational areas.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Contribute to the creation of management reports, providing clear and concise financial insights.
    • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement & Ad-hoc Projects:
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
    • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by senior management.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling, with some exposure to expense management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
