Your role as a Business Controller

Key responsibilities:

NewCold has grown into one of world's largest,
advanced automated warehouse and cold chain logistics companies. Our company
has a rapidly expanding global presence with our Innovation & Support
Centre located within the head office in Breda, the Netherlands. A pioneer in
developing and operating frozen and multi-temperature automated warehouses, we
offer significant footprint, labour, and energy reduction with increased food
safety. NewCold's global network of over 20 locations spans across three continents.
Our company is supported by a global team of nearly 3000 employees.

We plan, design, build, own, and operate the cold storage facilities with our
own people!

The Opportunity

WE ARE EXPANDING!
We’re seeking a mid-senior level Business Controller to join
our brand-new, state-of-the-art Marsden Park facility in the northwest of Sydney.
You will play a key role in establishing strong financial
controls, reporting frameworks, and performance standards within a newly
commissioned automated facility. This role suits a commercially minded finance
professional who enjoys partnering with operations and building effective
financial structures in technically advanced environments.

About the vacancy

Main Duties

  • Coordinate and submit monthly reporting pack to group with insights and management comments in a timely manner.
  • Complete internal (Australia) NewCold reporting as required.
  • Timely and accurate completion of weekly cashflow projections.
  • Prepare covenant reporting in support of lender compliance requirements.
  • Lead the annual budget completion with wider Finance team, Commercial and Operations.
  • Rolling forecasts and supporting the Commercial team with finance and operations input.
  • Support the shared service centre regarding recurring accounting transactions and closing process.
  • Monitor the site’s financial results and collaborate with Operations leadership team members to identify improvement areas.
  • Foster a const-conscious culture while focused on achieving high levels of internal customer service.
  • Works with Functional managers on improvement initiatives to optimise costs.
  • Maintain records in accordance with approved policies and statutory requirements.
  • Maintains strong internal controls.
  • Work with outside service providers like Audit, Tax, and Banking.
  • Adheres to monthly/annual financial reporting requirements.
  • To engage and manage customer relationships in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To ensure accurate and prompt communication and assistance to internal and external customers.
  • To be pro-active in resolving issues and problems before they occur.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Finance Skills and Experience

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • 3+ years minimum experience in a similar role
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project accounting, financial accounting, taxation, management accounting, and management reporting
  • Analytical skills
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
