Business Continuity Specialist

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will lead and accelerate our Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and operational resilience agenda. You’ll play a key role in evolving Nuffield Health from a compliance-led position to a mature, enterprise-wide resilience model, ensuring we can effectively respond to and recover from disruption while safeguarding patient safety, operations, finance, and reputation.
As our Business Continuity Specialist, you will:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Business Continuity Plans across critical services, from development and testing through to governance and continuous improvement
Design and deliver scenario-based testing to validate resilience and strengthen organisational readiness
Establish and embed governance frameworks with clear ownership and accountability across the business
Partner with senior stakeholders across clinical, technology, finance, and operational teams to deliver a prioritised resilience roadmap
Integrate business continuity and resilience requirements into new systems, change initiatives, and transformation programmes
Drive continuous improvement, ensuring BCP evolves in line with organisational risk and strategic priorities
To succeed as a Business Continuity Specialist, you’ll bring:
Proven experience in Business Continuity Planning within a complex organisation
Strong technical awareness and understanding of operational resilience frameworks
A track record of translating strategy into practical, fast-paced delivery
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment (desirable but not essential)
