We are seeking a creative, organised and detail-oriented Business Communications Representative to join our team at our site in Bedfordshire.

As part of our 4xFlex working pattern, you will work a 4-day week (Monday–Thursday) and benefit from hybrid working. You’ll work onsite Monday and Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday working from home, subject to business needs.

In this role, you will take ownership of proactively exploring opportunities and creating compelling content to tell our STEM and Community Outreach story. This role will also focus on delivering employee communications and supporting employee and stakeholder events.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business related role and demonstrate excellent planning, writing and proofreading skills. We are looking for a confident self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Development: Write, edit, and produce high-quality content for a variety of internal channels.
• Public Relations: Support PR opportunities.
• Internal Communications: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a forward look content plan that keeps employees informed, motivated, and engaged.
• Event Support: Working with the event lead, support logistics, administration, and other event related tasks.
• Team Co-ordination: Co-ordinate day-to-day team activities, priorities and deliverables, ensuring effective workflow across the function.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Qualifications: Minimum A-level in Business Studies (degree in a Business related subject preferred).

Experience: Proven experience in Communications, Business Development Support, Planning or related Business 2 Business role.

Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong command of the English Language.

Design Capabilities: Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing skills are desirable.

Attributes: Self-motivated, highly organised, able to handle multiple tight deadlines and confident in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
