Job Description

The Business Center Administrator is responsible for high quality administrative functions and day-to-day operation of the Business Center. The Administrator is responsible for processing invoices, mail childcare billing, and campaign billing for the Association. The Administrator will serve as liaison for the Association Office accounts payable.

Schedule

  • Location: Mission Valley YMCA
  • Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • Full-time temporary position with an estimated end date in November 2026

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for alternative payment membership processing and communication
  • Process all membership inquiries that come in through helpdesk to include: adding or removing holds, membership cancellations, up/downgrades, updated payment information, general info inquiries
  • Process all chargebacks for assigned branches in a timely fashion
  • Prepare and run the bank draft
  • Ability to sit and type for extended periods of time
  • Ability to take initiative, determine priorities and exercise good judgement
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong administrative skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field OR 2+ years' of relevant experience in accounts receivable and administration required AND,
  • A minimum of 2 years' of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or financial operations required
  • Solid experience with office management systems
  • Familiarity with online calendaring and cloud systems
  • Proficiency in clear and concise correspondence composition
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, public relations, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of document preparation, editing, layout and proofreading essential
  • Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
    • American Red Cross
    • American Heart Association
    • American Safety & Health Institute

Pay Range

USD $22.64 - USD $23.63 /Hr.
