Job Description

In this role, you'll:


• Support review of business cases to ensure alignment with Transport for NSW, NSW Treasury and Infrastructure NSW guidelines to support informed investment decisions.


• Provide advice on business case structure and requirements including packaging projects into programs and applying risk-based assurance pathways


• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and delivery of project outcomes


• Conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and investment planning

• Identify and provide input on key risks and considerations (e.g., cost, sustainability, environmental, timelines, and deliverability)


• Contribute to continuous improvement through maintaining lessons learned and supporting refinement of processes and frameworks

About you


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide evidence-based recommendations


• Experience in business case development, project evaluation, or investment analysis (preferably on large capital infrastructure projects)


• Knowledge of strategic investment frameworks and relevant guidelines (e.g. TfNSW, NSW Treasury, INSW)


• Effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills


• Experience in risk assessment and supporting documentation such as Risk Registers


• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics, engineering, public policy, or a related field
