The Business Banking Lending Specialist serves as a resource to the Business Banking Sales Group. The role is responsible for assisting Business Banking Officers with general administrative duties, loan-related activities and special assignments; orders loan documents; gathers credit information on current and potential borrowers; conducts account research; processes loan payments or advances; assists Business Banking Officers in ensuring loan requests are complete; ensures that Business Bankers Salesforce Pipelines are up to date; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The Business Banking Sales Specialist must communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations.

Responsibilities & Core Functions

  • Act as a liaison between the Business Banking Officers, the Business Banking and CBUD Underwriting groups, attorneys, customers & other areas within the Bank
  • Prepare documents for new deposits accounts and loan origination, renewals and closings, such as commitment letters, other required documents as needed
  • Order and track documents required to complete loan file including ordering floods; appraisals and ESA’s when applicable
  • Assist in coordination of information sent to Business Banking Underwriting and Commercial Credit department for analysis and approval
  • Assist customers on a daily basis with various types of banking questions
  • Prepare reports and manage various databases as needed
  • Complete monthly pipeline report and goals reports
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications
  • Interact with Exception Management to obtain documentation deficiencies
  • Organize workflow for the Business Banking Officers with strong utilization of Salesforce and nCino

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of small business banking experience and knowledge of various commercial loan documentation highly preferred
  • Experience with Ncino & Salesforce highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (the ability to create financial and statistical tools and reports using excel spreadsheets).
  • Must be a detailed-oriented individual with strong analytical and communication skills.
